Kellye and Nick are the epitome of being “giddy in love”.

When we decided to shoot their engagement portraits on Honeymoon Island, I was really excited. It’s one of my favorite beaches for portraits because of the white sand, beautiful sunsets and they have a dog beach (in case “Max” or “Duke” are invited in to the family portrait).

Kellye and Nick are the perfect subjects for a photographer—they do exactly what I ask with no questions! So, if I say, “Let’s go walk on the rocks under the boardwalk bathroom,” they say, “Sure!” And then I just let their personalities take control of the photo shoot.

They dated seven years before they married and I could not be prouder of them. Kellye is my cousin and a kind, sweet soul. Now that I know Nick a little better, I see why she cares about him so much and why it was worth the wait. They married in March of 2010 in Homestead, Florida and I’m sure they will be blessed all their lives.
